Access to Justice

Access to Justice

Access to Justice in an Age of Austerity was held in March 2013. In difficult fiscal times, governments emphasise the importance of justifying all expenditure and noting the limitations on resources. At the same time, human rights obligations are supposed to secure priority in the allocation of resources. This conference explored the extent to which the justice sector meets its obligation to secure access to justice. Papers included are by Professor Paul Rishworth, Maria Kazmierow, Mark Ierace SC, Rodney Harrison QC and Royden Hindle.
