 About the Speaker

Stephen Todd is a professor at the University of Canterbury College of Law. His research specialises in the law of torts, and he has a particular interest in the ambit of the law of negligence. An associated interest is New Zealand’s accident compensation scheme and its relationship with the common law. Another research interest is the field of contract.Professor Todd is the general editor of the text Tort Law in New Zealand (2019 Thomson Reuters) now in its 8th Edition. He is also a regular contributor and review author to the New Zealand Law Review.
